#CamberleyInternationalFestival is getting closer!
Hammer and Tongue are hosting the poetry slam at Camberley Theatre café / bar from 2- 4pm on Saturday June 4th. This is a free event.

The slam is open to all. Randomly appointed audiences-judges will decide who will progress towards the National Final at The Royal Albert Hall next year.
Each contestant gets three minutes for their original spoken word or poetry.
Previous participants include the Mercury nominated artists Kate Tempest and Polar Bear, plus John Hegely, Scroobius Pip, Hollie McNish, Mark Grist, Luke Wright, Dizraeli, Simon Munnery have all taken part in Hammer and Tongue poetry slams!

The theatre bar will be open and along with tea and coffee will also be serving cocktails, locally-brewed craft ales, an excellent wine list and a great new menu of contemporary food and snacks. Come along and enjoy the afternoon, or get up and have a go!
Special guests for the afternoon are Steve Larkin, himself a former International Slam Champion and named “the spoken-word guru” by the C.B.C. and Paula Varjack, a multi-media artist whom The List called “punchy & engaging” both will perform and host the afternoon.
